goal-setting
thanksgiving weekend with my family was a wonderful way to step out of my daily routine, gain some perspective and think about my life from a big picture perspective. i’d like to keep assessing my life on a more regular basis and i think setting concrete personal, professional and health goals will help me do so.
my goals for this week:
PERSONAL: get back in touch with college friends. pick up the phone, video chat, email, etc. invest a few hours in communicating with them.
PROFESSIONAL: i’ll keep this to myself, but i’m happy to say that i’ve already accomplished my professional goal for this week.
HEALTH: sign up for a gym membership instead of dropping in for classes (CHECK!), go swimming over the weekend and attend one good life class. also, this is an ongoing struggle given my professional commitments, but i really would like to find a way to bring back dance into my life. i never want to lose sight of my passions.

powerful choreography from an otherwise disappointing finale of SYTYCD. as nigel said so eloquently in an earlier episode, sasha dances by exposing her soul. mark is terrifyingly brilliant, deadmau5’s music gave me goosebumps and sonya tayeh is simply a genius. enjoy.
watch the throne.
still have LOTS of listening to do, but so far my favorite track is ‘gotta have it’…may have something to do with its indian-sounding background tune. excited to discover the rest of this album!
coldplay covering amy winehouse, followed by ‘fix you’ at lolla. can’t wait for the new album; still my dream to see them live at some point.
the sanjeevani project
excited to follow the adventures of my friend, fellow dancer and visionary abhita reddy. i respect her immensely, for following her dreams at such a young age to build a school in the village her father grew up in. so proud of you, abhita. you inspire me in so many ways.
